keep on pushing

The last couple of days have been a tough go, but I have managed. With Harv's grandpa being in the hospital it has been easier to eat fast food and not think ahead. I've only went slightly over my calories and I say that's OK. I'm guessing I will be able to walk tonight. I've moved up to around four miles a day, which is VERY shocking to me. I'm down seven pounds so far and slowly moving along. I don't know the point in the blogging sometimes, I feel very boring haha

a ray of sunshine

I finally bought a scale and a measuring tape today. I have lost 5 pounds, but this is the first time that I have measured. We'll start tracking inches today. I walked two miles last night and as soon as I finish here I am off to hopefully tackle three miles. We'll see how far I get.
I had a egg and cheese biscuit this morning, but my philosophy is eat carbs early so you have time to burn them off through the day. I'm sure I'll have a salad with some grilled chicken on it for lunch and for dinner the family will have steamed salmon, veggies and more good stuff.
I can tell a difference in the way I feel on the days that I walk. I feel so much better and I have way more energy. I just wish I could get on a better sleep schedule. It seems when I do go to bed, my body is in shock and very sluggish. I'm off to walk. Hopefully, the pounds will start to fall off and my overall health will improve. Come to think of it, I bet it would be a good idea to keep track of my glucose levels through this journey as well.

starting out

I have decided to better myself by being healthier. I am weighing and measuring my food out by serving size and trying to walk at least a mile a day. Hopefully, weight loss will be an added bonus to feeling better and having more energy. I really have nothing else to write as of now. This may be a very boring and painful blog.
